About the Yatra

What is the Har Ki Dun trek?

Har Ki Dun is a high-altitude valley in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, Uttarkashi district, reached on a 44–50 km round-trip trek from Sankri.

The name means “Valley of the Gods” in the local Garhwali tradition. The trail follows the Supin river through pine forests, terraced fields and old wooden villages such as Osla. This is why the Har Ki Dun trek from Dehradun is a favourite among first-time Himalayan trekkers, photographers and families with older children.
